The Lawmen defeated the Slammers 6-4. The game was very close and well played by the Slammers. Our defense was not very good and we kicked it around a bit. Vinnie Correa was 3 for 4 w/ two runs scored. Alphonso Nudo was 2 for 4 w/ 2 RBI’s. They were the leading hitters for us. Josh Kunz pitched two innings giving up 2 unearned no strikeouts. Angelo Sackman pitched three innings and gave up two unearned w/ three K’s. Brent Sagedal pitched two innings and gave up no runs with 1K. The Slammers hit the ball well, but scored all runs after Lawmen errors.
Javelins Win 5-4, a great, close game the whole way. Most the game the Martin & Sons were winning 4-3, but at the bottom of the last frame the Javelins loaded the bases with 1 out Charles Woods hit a 2 run single into left field. Other key contributors, Charles Woods was 3-4 with 2 RBI's, Matt Scarbalis was 2-3 with 2 RBI's (Both RBI's were with 2 outs), Jerry O'Connell was 1-4 but that 1 was a stand up triple, and solid pitching from Bill Kaufmann, Steve McKinnon and Bobby Dautoski.
