League History

MSBL Kenosha was formed in the spring of 2006 as a non-profit affiliate of the
Men’s Senior Baseball League (MSBL)/Men’s Adult Baseball League (MABL), a national organization with more than 3,200 teams and 45,000 members who play organized amateur baseball in local leagues.

MSBL Kenosha players are amateur athletes of various skill levels and business professions who enjoy playing competitive baseball. The players exhibit a special dedication to the sport, as well as a commitment to contribute to the Kenosha community.

MSBL Kenosha's inaugural season featured four teams with more than 60 players ranging in age from 18 to 51. The teams played games each Sunday between late May and August at Carthage College and ended the season with a weekend set of playoffs in early September, during which Sports Physical Therapy and Rehab Center took the championship game over Limbach Chiropractic/Southport Bank. That same weekend, fans and businesses collected 645.5 pounds of food and $106 for the
Shalom Center.

In 2007, MSBL Kenosha expanded to six teams and a 16-game schedule that featured games at
Carthage College and the city’s historic Simmons Field. The season was again capped with a weekend of playoffs the ended with Somers House/Salvi Law defeating Kenosha Professional Police Association for the championship.

For 2008, MSBL Kenosha has expanded further by adding an MABL Kenosha division for players between the ages of 18 and 24 years old. One MABL team was formed for the 2008 season and we project more to join as the league grows in coming years.

The league is always accepting players of all levels and new teams.
