2009 state tournament plans

A state MSBL tournament is being organized for the 2009 season. There are few details at this point, but it would include travel to a host city for a three-day weekend. The other cities with leagues are Milwaukee, Madison and the Green Bay/Appleton area.

Our league schedule will be altered to accommodate for teams to attend.

Contact Ched Ballard if your team or players from your team are interested in playing.

Board news & notes

The MSBL Kenosha Board
met on Monday, Aug. 4. Among the items discussed:

--Rescheduled games: Rainouts that are rescheduled will not be rescheduled a second time because of a lack of players. It is too difficult for the league to reschedule the games and reserve a field in a limited timeframe and therefore, if a team cannot field enough players, the game must be forfeited.

--MSBL Kenosha is looking for players interested in playing in the MSBL World  Series in Phoenix, Ariz., October 20-25.  The league will cover the majority of the entrance fee from the money made during the Hall of Fame Classic Tournament. Players will have to cover all travel, lodging and eating expenses. If you are interested, contacted Ched Ballard at
cballard@msblkenosha.com

--The board tentatively set March 1, 2009 as the league's tryout date for new players and teams.
